We are a community-based organisation and registered charity that provides timely, practical, and high-quality services to assist people who are elderly and people with a disability to remain in their homes. As a Director on our Board, you will provide leadership and drive the organisation's strategic direction, implement and maintain governance systems, and ensure corporate accountability and compliance. You will attend regular board meetings and participate in key decision-making processes.

Wyong Neighbourhood Centre has supported the Wyong community for over 40 years. We are committed to providing services and activities that meet the needs of our community members from Wyong, Gosford and the surrounding suburbs.

Our Volunteer Board of Governance is looking for a committed community member to come onto our volunteer Board with a strong sense of social justice, to help make decisions for the betterment of our community and be accountable to the DCJ funding requirement.

• Strategic planning for fundraising and philanthropy activities
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
• Strong communication skills and governance experience within non-profit sector

• Support CEO with administration, coordination, and follow-through
• Maintain task lists, calendars, meeting preparation, and correspondence
• Experience in executive assistance or administration highly regarded

• Develop and maintain child safety policies and procedures
• Support recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers
• Experience in child safety, education, or community services required

• Contribute strategic guidance and support responsible organizational growth
• Experience in corporate partnerships, finance, education, or technology welcomed
• Approximately four evening board meetings per year, unpaid position
