Program Coordinator - Learn to Swim Program - Volunteer

Role Overview
The Program Coordinator (Volunteer) will support the smooth planning, delivery and evaluation of the project - our women and girls’ learn to swim program. You’ll be the key point of contact between facilitators, volunteers, participants, and community partners. This is a hands-on and rewarding volunteer role for someone passionate about women’s empowerment and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities **Session Coordination: **Assist with the weekly scheduling of workshops and weekend activities. Liaise with facilitators to confirm materials, room bookings, and session needs.

**Volunteer & Participant Liaison: **Support onboarding of volunteers and maintain participant attendance records. Provide basic support to participants on-site as needed.

**Communications: **Share updates with facilitators and the WWA team. Support social media posts and reminders about upcoming sessions.

**Logistics Support: **Help with set-up and pack-down of events. Manage basic supplies, snacks, and printouts for sessions.

**Monitoring & Evaluation: **Distribute and collect surveys. Record feedback and assist in compiling insights for reporting and improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Organised and reliable with strong communication skills
  • Available on Weekends and able to commit to the entire program
  • Passionate about community work, especially women’s wellbeing
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Experience in admin, coordination, or events (desirable but not essential)
  • Familiarity with multicultural or refugee communities is a plus
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one
