Nakuru Hope is a not-for-profit charity operating in Kenya, governed by a voluntary Board of Directors in Perth. Established by Perth’s Susan Saleeba, Nakuru Hope makes a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children living in one of the largest slums in Nakuru, Kenya.

The role

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to assist our Finance Director, 2 - 3 hours per week with the following tasks;

• Data entry to maintain up–to–date records
• Monthly reconciliation of bank, online payments and debit cards
• Monthly journal entries
• Forex profit and loss
• Cost centre allocations

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in Xero (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to transparency
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Alignment with Nakuru Hope’s mission and values.
